This saddle was apparently in use for some time before it was put-up as a keepsake so t are a few scrapes and blemishes all visible in the photographs.

The tooling is in excellent shape given its age and the natural bronzing of the leather gives it a very nice glow. He believes everything about this saddle is correct in design or original. Boyce says based on the tree and skirt styling and the tooling he believes this saddle was made in the 30s. He says all the records of saddle numbers were lost in a fire before 1950 so we know for sure this saddle was built before then.
